History
In the 1960s, the cinema was divided into four screens, and in the 1990s it closed and was replaced by a new multiplex cinema at Freemans Common. The building remained empty for several years until it was reopened in 2005 as the Athena.

ABOUT SINGaSONG
The Original SINGaSING Singing Waiters perform in hotels and restaurants throughout the UK.
Our teams are regional covering (1) London and The South East and West (2) North West and The Midlands (3) Glasgow , Edinburgh and Newcastle.
Show sessions are between 90 and 120 minutes, and teams will perform up to four times a day at weekends and twice during the week.
Hospitality (restaurant) experience is helpful but not essential.
We are entertainers first and waiters second.

THE COMPETITION minimum age 17yrs
We will evaluate every entry and respond to each applicant within 7 working days.
If we don't invite you to the Gala Got Talent Final, then we will explain in our opinion as to why.

The Final will be staged on Sunday 2nd March.
The successful applicants will be invited to perform inside the Iconic Athena Theatre in Leicester.
Invitations to those selected will be sent out on or before the 9th February.

There will be two 120 minute Semi Final Sessions during the day and the Final will be one 120 minute session at night.
All Day tickets for families and friends will be available to purchase.
The Showtime 2 course meal will be available as a pre order when purchasing an entrance ticket.
(Singers will eat for free as our guests).

VOTING
Audiences will be given a VOTING APP in advance of the performances.
The 4 highest scoring artists in each of the first two sessions will automatically go through to the evening final.

​PRIZES
All finalists will be offered regular work with our regional teams throughout 2025.
The Winning artist will receive a cheque for £750.00 and the opportunity to work permanently in the Showon Company.
